In this pre-sales role, the Solution Consultant's objective will be to understand the utilities' challenges, and industry drivers to support the development of a vision and roadmap for a solution that addresses their requirements and enables the adoption of OSI's state-of-the-art solutions. Your Impact The Role We currently have an opening for a Solution Consultant.This is a customer facing role that requires self-motivated individuals with consultative and communication skills to position AspenTech's solutions and services focused on electric utility real-time grid control systems (SCADA, DMS, EMS, GMS, ADMS, OMS, DERMS).In this position you will oversee technical aspects of Sales for AspenTech's Products. Specific on-the-job training will be provided.You will play a crucial role in effectively communicating the value and functionality of our software solutions to prospects, helping them understand how our products can meet their specific business needs. Your Impact Own the technical business development aspects, including overall proposed system design, of AspenTech's products for real-time critical infrastructure control systems Conduct software demonstrations: Perform compelling and engaging demonstrations of our software products to potential clients, showcasing key features and benefits. Work diligently on responding to the technical conformance and questionnaire responses for Requests for Information/Proposal/Quote (RFI/RFP/RFQ) Lead and/or participate in customer consulting engagements to facilitate sales, including workshops, scope review sessions, proposal presentations and contract negotiations Engage with existing AspenTech customers to identify and consult new product sales opportunities Represent AspenTech in a superior manner with an excellent attitude Manage assigned projects with care, concern, and diligence Be decisive and innovative when resolving issues What You'll Need What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technical field 2 years of related solution consulting and/or technical sales support,software sales, and/or industry experience. Proficiency with communicating technical concepts and presenting to customers Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to make clear observations and conclusions based on customer interviews and data. Strong time / project management and organization skills Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic or international locations (less than 15%) Ability to remain flexible and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience working in the operations or engineering group of an electric utility Experience working with or deploying real-time control systems including SCADA solutions Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems Knowledge of computer architectures, databases, and operating systems Knowledge of IT systems and data center designs #LI-BC1 AspenTech is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
