JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Multidisciplinary Engineering Design (MDE) program for the Penn State Brandywine consortium is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
Organize, attend and take minutes for the Leadership, Curriculum, and IPAC Committee meetings
Coordinate, attend and take minutes for the Advisory Council meetings
Organize the Design Showcase and Design Expo activities
Keep the files updated for accreditation
Assist preparing the annual assessment report for the program
Assist preparing the self-report for accreditation
Organize the material for ABET visit
Assist with the coordination of speakers series and field trips
Schedule meetings for faculty
Maintain supplies for teaching
Assist with travel reimbursement forms
Other clerical duties as requested
This position is part-time, 20-30 hours per week, and requires flexibility and time distribution between the Brandywine and Great Valley campuses as needed, as well as travel between the two campuses.
The successful candidate will be energetic, responsible, and highly self-motivated, possess a willingness to help others in a courteous and professional manner, the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve, excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to work well in a team environment. The position requires proficiency in MS Office and the use of web-based applications. Duties include a wide range of office activities where attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines is critical. A High School diploma is required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
