We are seeking a Claims Advocate Attorney to join our team based in Media, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will serve as a key point of collaboration amongst various stakeholders, managing the entire spectrum of the claim and broking process. This role will require a deep understanding of claims handling and the litigation process across multiline property & casualty and specialty coverages.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for first reporting of claims across all lines of property & casualty business.

• Maintain and update the status of claims to excess & reinsurers as needed.

• Execute file set-up, maintenance, and documentation in the designated claims management system.

• Respond to inquiries from clients, broking department, and insurers on claims, coverages, and exposures.

• Advocate for the client's interest with insurers, providing strategic consultation on legal issues, valuation, and claims negotiation.

• Oversee claims handlers, Third Party Administrators, vendors, and insurers, ensuring productive relationships are maintained.

• Conduct contract reviews and legal research as appropriate in response to client inquiries.

• Coordinate, prepare for, and attend claim review meetings on selected accounts.

• Monitor claims professionals, Third Party Administrators, and defense counsel, addressing service issues and monitoring for trends.

• Review and analyze insurance policies and coverage documents, providing consultation to clients.

• Attend Settlement Conferences, Mediations, and Trials as necessary to advocate for and protect the client’s interests and objectives.

Requirements • Possession of a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

• Admission to the Bar Association in the practicing state

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in claim administration and civil litigation

• Proficiency in using Case Management Software, Adobe Acrobat, and 3M

• Familiarity with Conveyancer and Document Management processes

• Prior experience in commercial insurance and property casualty insurance

• Proven track record in handling consumer electronics insurance claims

• Demonstrated ability in briefing and complaint handling

• Proficient in risk management and ability to verify insurance coverage

• Experience with Auto General Liability (AGL) claims and liability insurance

• Knowledge of casualty claims, casualty insurance, and workers compensation

• Experience in drafting correspondence, legal research, and contract negotiation

• Proficiency in contract law and contract administration

• Ability to provide legal advice and maintain data integrity

• Knowledge of commercial contracts and property insurance

• Experience in insurance law and contracting

• Ability to perform adjustments and understand workers comp law

• Knowledge of worker's compensation claim and risk management policies

• Ability to understand and interpret insurance law and regulations

• Excellent analysis and negotiation skills.
