The Team and Job Summary

We are seeking a Collections Analyst – Portals to join our Finance team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set and whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional collections roles. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of accounts receivable and the collections process but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.

This person will play a critical role in managing our accounts receivable processes with a focus on portal payments. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices issued (most portals require us to upload our invoices and confirm receipt) and payments received through various online portals. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of portal payment systems, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills. This position will involve working in the office a minimum of 2 to 3 days a week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the collection process of outstanding invoices using strategies and best practices to ensure timely payments and maintain positive client relationships.

  • Update daily the accounts receivable target list to reflect new invoices and payments received.

  • Interact with project managers, leadership, and business development to identify priority outstanding invoices for collections.

  • Reconcile payments received through online portals, ensuring accuracy and completeness of transactions.

  • Reconcile portal payments with corresponding invoices, identifying, and resolving any discrepancies identified in a timely manner.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and concerns related to portal payments promptly and professionally.

    Required Qualifications

  • Professional-level fluency in English.

  • 3+ years of experience in a collections team or similar role.

  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, databases, and online payment portals.

  • Experience using portal payment platforms and related accounting software.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Prior experience in process improvement initiatives is a plus.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Experience in accounts receivable/collections, with a focus on portal payments.
