onsemi (Nasdaq: ON) is hiring a highly motivated and self-driven analog tool and methodology engineer. You will be working in the Chief Technology Office’s organization on advanced EDA tools and methods for analog integrated circuit design and migration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supporting platform design teams with new EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools

• Evaluating various EDA tools. Preparing test cases, running tools, evaluating results.

• Evaluating technology migration tools for both schematic and layout for various technologies and PDKs

• Defining concepts for testing of analog blocks in mixed signal integrated circuits with focus on defect-oriented testing.

• Evaluating new tools and methods for testing of analog integrated circuits

• Customization of these tools, configuration files, scripts, adopting them for required technologies and PDKs.

• Creating methodology and guidelines with focus on Platform use

• Training other colleagues in tool usage.

• Communicating with colleagues from various teams.

Qualifications Required:

• MS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on analog integrated circuit design. Ph.D. degree is a plus.

• 5+ years of experience in the design of analog and/or mixed analog-digital circuits or CAD tools.

• Proficiency in using industry-standard design tools such as Cadence, Siemens, or Synopsys for circuit design and layout.

• Experience in designing, simulating, and testing analog circuits, such as amplifiers, oscillators, and converters is a significant advantage.

• Basic knowledge of programming and scripting languages.

• Basic knowledge of semiconductor physics and manufacturing technologies.

• Basic knowledge of Process Design Kit (PDK) is a significant advantage.

• Basic knowledge of testing of analog integrated circuits and design for test (DFT) is a significant advantage.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Innovative and creative in finding solutions to problems.

• Strong communication skills.

• Self-motivated and results oriented.

• Comfortable in a team environment.

• Autonomous with minimal supervision when required.

• Proficiency in English.
