Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This individual will report directly to the Plant Manager. The primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting and maintaining the process to produce Plastic PVC pipes. The machinery primarily operates on pneumatic systems with minimal use of hydraulics. Specific duties include:

  • Troubleshooting using multimeter readings and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Managing Conveying Systems (not conveyor belts), Mac-Valves, Chains/Pulley/Rollers, Pellers, Belts, Mixers, Clamps/Rotators
  • Performing routine preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical problems
  • Replacing defective parts and components as needed
  • Conducting regular inspections to identify potential equipment issues
  • Collaborating with the production team to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity

This position offers $26-$32 per hour based on experience. You will be trained for 6-12 months on the first shift until you feel comfortable.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment that is non-climate controlled, loud, dirty, and wet. Much of the equipment is older and uses water circulation for PVC pipes. Must be comfortable working from heights. The position is for 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 4pm-12am, with work every other Saturday and Sunday. Once hired, Sundays are paid at double time.
