Title: Surgical Charge Auditor

Summary:

This key position in the OR is responsible for balancing transactions between two computer systems, running daily revenue reports, and auditing charges for each surgery performed. It is a fast pace multitasking environment that requires interaction between anesthesia, finance, OR Clinical III Nurses, Materials Management, OR management and scheduling . This position is responsible for the Auditing and accurate processing of charges for all departments within surgical services including the auditing of the manual charges. Requires attention to detail and research of charging details, throughput of information and requires the knowledge of multiple computer software programs to dissect all data and integrate the information into the necessary reports. Thorough knowledge of the Cerner Charge services and working knowledge of Invision, Patent Surginet scheduling and documentation and Lawson inventory systems.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Required - 5 years - Surgical Services; Or - 5 years - Billing

• Prefer auditing background

Education:

• Required - HS Graduate or Equivalent GED

• Prefer - Associates Degree

Location: Mease Dunedin Hospital

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: variable between 7:00am - 6:00pm

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: No
