Position Details:

• Location: 3231 Mc Mullen Booth Rd., Safety Harbor, FL 34695

• Status: Fulltime

• Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Every Saturday, Sunday and a third day (flexible)

• On Call: No

• Always in person

Summary:

The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include:

• Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills

• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team

• Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

• Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members

• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we strongly prefer at least 2 years RN experience in Operating Room. Experience as a Charge RN in the Operating Room preferred.

This is a Weekends position working every Saturday, Sunday and a third shift. There is flexibility on the third shift which may be coupled with the Saturday and Sunday (i.e. Friday or Monday) or a third day mid-week. This position is eligible for the Weekend Incentive.

Specific Skills:

• Clinical skills appropriate to position

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RN (Registered Nurse)

• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department

• Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

• Bachelor's Nursing or Bachelor's Science in related field or RN Certification in related field

Experience :

• Required includes 2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural

• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
