Summary:

The Charge Endoscopy RN responsibilities include:

• RN is proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills

• RN acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team

• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

• RN acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members

• RN performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, at least 2 years acute care RN experience is required. We strongly prefer Endoscopy experience. Charge experience is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

Specific Skills:

• Clinical skills appropriate to position

• Interpersonal skills

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RN (Registered Nurse)

• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department

• Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

• Associate's Nursing or Diploma and Nursing Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion

• Or preferred Bachelor's Nursing or BS Healthcare related field
