Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Highway Maintenance Coordinator in Meadville, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 4643493 THE POSITION The Crawford County Department of Transportation is seeking a committed individual to fill the position of Highway Maintenance Coordinator. This role is vital for coordinating, supervising, and managing a range of maintenance activities for highways and bridges within our District Maintenance Organization. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be tasked with identifying suitable maintenance functions to execute, assessing conditions, negotiating for necessary workforce and equipment resources, as well as recognizing essential needs within the region. Furthermore, you will assess the performance of subordinates in executing planned activities and implement corrective measures as needed to achieve objectives. Oversight will be provided by the Manager, with significant freedom granted in the planning and execution of work programs. The work will be evaluated based on the achievement of program goals.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three years as a Highway Foreman 2 or Five years of technical experience in highway maintenance or highway construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
