Summary:

The Payroll Operations Manager will have responsibility for at least 1 large account and potential portfolio of other accounts. Dynamic role with responsibility for team management and client engagement with a lead role for client escalations within operations. Can be cross country or assigned to only one country of expertise. Opportunity to learn additional payroll countries.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure that all process are being executed based on payroll procedures with standards and tools in place and aligned for all accounts

  • Ensure staffing and training at optimal levels

  • Responsible for client satisfaction

  • Responsible for key performance indicator management, strong focus on metric to drive improvement with strong action plan development for improvements

  • Review account status (financial and client satisfaction) and participate in service review meetings with client

  • Manage change request both internally and with client

  • Collaborate and work with commercial team in sales opportunities

  • Build relationship commitment with other areas

Required Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent is preferred; equivalent work experience required

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Payroll solutions is required with at least 2 years in leadership role. Knowledge of Mexico payroll legislation/taxation is required.

  • Advanced English (reading/speaking) required

  • Domain expertise in Payroll technology and solution; prefer SAP experience.

  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, influence multiple partners, and establish common goals and objectives without sacrificing outcomes

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills required. The ability to understand target audiences and translate complex concepts into clear and concise messages is required

  • Thrives in matrix environments, is flexible, collaborative and deadline driven

  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail, laser focused approach on delivery of results is required

  • Proven ability to take a complex business requirement and break it down into operational solutions is required

  • Analytical mindset, critical thinking, problem solving skills are required

  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Products is required

  • Experience in Inhouse, Outsourced and Co-sourced payroll service delivery models is preferred
