Supply Chain/Manufacturing Senior Manager - Life Sciences

Our clients operate in a world where achieving and sustaining performance is more difficult than ever. EY's Life Sciences Consulting Services team assists clients in finding the right balance between protecting the business and driving measurable value.

The opportunity

The Life Sciences group is a part of the Global Life Sciences Center, which focuses on biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries. You will be an integral member of our life sciences consulting team, and spend most of your time focused on providing client services in the following areas: business performance management, analytics enablement, digital solutions including IoT/Industry 4.0, growth/strategy, process improvement, cost reduction, supply chain technology implementation and enterprise transformation.

Your key responsibilities

Most of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain.

  • Demonstrating deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience

  • Must have at least five years of experience working in the manufacturing/quality space or in the consulting industry or a degree in supply chain plus 5 years experience

  • 10+ years of consulting in Life Sciences work experience, specifically around quality management, laboratory operations, regulatory, clinical trials

  • Proven experience in business process improvement using process and digital solutions in the areas of manufacturing & quality

  • Experience using business analytics to identify business problems and implement manufacturing/quality/laboratory solutions

  • Demonstrated record of driving revenue within existing life sciences clients and in developing new prospects with senior executives of large life sciences companies

  • Ability to lead a team of consulting professionals on multiple projects

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (knows when to lead and when to follow)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent oral and written communication skills

  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs

  • Experience working with solutions such as Veeva, ETQ, Trackwise, Compliancequest, Qualityze, Qualio, Dot Compliance & others.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Medical science background, chemistry, biology, engineering or other experience relevant to the life sciences sector

  • Life Sciences industry experience working in a supply chain (i.e., procurement, manufacturing, planning, logistics) role - ideally experience of working in a manufacturing/quality role

  • Experience implementing digital solutions in the life sciences industry

  • Experience using Agile implementation methodologies

  • CPSM, CPIM, Lean Six Sigma, PMP certification with related life sciences consulting experience

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $146,000 to $333,500. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $175,200 to $379,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
