Steampunk Salesforce Technical Lead in McLean, Virginia

Overview

As a Steampunk Salesforce Technical Lead , you will work with Technical/Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into well‐architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform.Develop, test, document and maintain solutions, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation using Salesforce declarative or programmatic development such as triggers,flows, validations, approvals, Apex classes, and Lightning components. Execute test plans to ensure quality delivery using test code and unit tests. Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed.

Contributions

  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the SFDC platform based on industry best practices as well as businessneeds

  • Manage the process of implementing improvements and new functionality in SFDCapplications

  • Deliver support and solutions for break/fixissues

  • Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues and creativesolutions

  • Perform Salesforce administration (create accounts / profiles, defining fields, updating layouts, reports, dashboards etc.) anddevelopment

  • Ability to support Salesforce configuration tasks such as field/page updates,flows, automatedapprovals

  • Support data migration related analysis, manipulation, and load activities for system cutover and SFDC go-live

  • Handle numerous projects/priorities using proven project management methodologies and sound development practices to ensure the quality delivery of enterprisesolutions

  • Monitor Salesforce usage forcompliance

  • Maintain security for Salesforcedata

  • Interface with business analysts and technical staff and be responsible for delivering complete workproducts

  • Implement App Exchangeproducts

  • Research integration issues and work closely with team members on operations and development staff

  • Research and development of new Salesforce prototypes and applications

  • Research and keep current onSalesforce eco-systemtechnologies and communicate trends and future needs toleadership

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting ofapplications

  • Build client trust and respect, establish client relationships, and develop rapport withclient

  • Participate and engage in all teammeetings

  • Document best practices and operational procedures

  • Facilitate continuous improvement within theenvironment

Qualifications

  • Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce development

  • Functional knowledge of Salesforce data structure and understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reportingrequirements

  • Must have proven knowledge and practical application of Apex, Force.com APIs, and Web Service

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a government securityclearance

  • Salesforce development and implementation experience.

  • At minimum hold current Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I

  • Experience with Java-based applications 

  • Experience withVSCodewith Salesforce DX and Git version control 

  • Experience delivering Salesforce projects using Agile and DevSecOpsmethodologies

  • Experience with Salesforce Development and Deployment Tools 

  • Experience leading, mentoring, and overseeing the work of juniordevelopers

  • Experience with Communities and Flows 

  • Experience with declarative configuration, Apex development, and Lightening development

  • Able to translate user stories into working software with minimaloversight * * Preferred Skills:

  • Unique combination of being business-minded and highly analytical while also having a strong and deep technical background inSalesforce

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results with aggressivetimelines

  • Able and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimalsupervision

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls,Teams, face-to-face)

  • Ability to produce high quality technical documentation andanalysis

  • Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creativethinking

  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to grasp conceptsquickly

  • Demonstrate sharp, analytical, problem solving, and decision-makingskills

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certifications
