Manager - Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Operations

As Manager, DIB Operations, you will be responsible for the design and execution of Diversity Inclusion & Belonging program strategies.
In this role, you will be an analytically minded DIB professional with a demonstrated track record of developing talent and programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing diverse program strategy as well as proven experience in designing and building a new project, initiative or program.
You will also have experience running large scale programs focused on attracting, developing and/or retaining talent. You will contribute to the overall success of Capital One by ensuring our DIB strategies are connected and that we have the right momentum and stakeholder buy-in. You will ensure the quickly growing DIB team is connected and on track against their roadmap.
You will also possess the confidence and poise to influence various internal and senior stakeholders. Most of all, you will possess the highest ethical standards, accompanied by a balanced ego and unwavering integrity.
Support DIB initiatives, including working strategically with leaders across the organization
Ensure stakeholders are updated and dots are connected across our DIB agenda and work, both within HR and the business
Coordinate multi-functional teams
Partner with senior leaders to manage strategic activities and practices across the business
Deliver business outcomes with LoB programs, initiatives and strategies leading to industry leading DIB programs and results
Utilize data-gathering and modeling to inform an analytically rigorous approach for DIB process and experiences
Keep the team on track and driving towards realistic goals
Identify risks / impediments and mitigation strategies
Traits we see in a successful candidate:
Have a track record of successful program management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage tasks and related expectations
Exhibit proven influencing skills to effectively drive project / program imperatives
Demonstrates a proven track record of excellent project management and delivery, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
Strong understanding and alignment with DIB initiatives.
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
Demonstrate good judgement and sensitivity, with diverse teams.
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to leverage logical insights through data analytics (assessment, analysis and reporting) of diversity & inclusion metrics
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 5 years experience in Consulting, Diversity & Inclusion, Human Resources, Corporate Social Responsibility OR Non-Profit Advocacy
At least 3 years of experience in project management
At least 5 years of experience in diversity, inclusion, equity & belonging
At least 5 years of strong problem solving OR at least 5 years of influencing skills OR at least 5 years of a combination of both
At least 3 years experience in change management
Strong attention to detail and results oriented, ability to meet objectives and handle multiple deadlines and priorities
