Guidehouse Financial Investigative Analyst II in McLean, Virginia

What You Will Do :

  • Researching, analyzing, and documenting complex financial, trade, and other business activities from a variety of sources, including commercial data and internet/darkweb sources;

  • Analyzing complex financial and business records to support federal investigations and prosecutions;

  • Collection, analysis and evaluation of law enforcement, commercial and classified data to produce intelligence products;

  • Reviewing of documents and briefings for adherence to established guides and standards;

  • Reviewing of pre-publication requests for sensitive or classified material;

  • Performing forensic accounting investigations of complex financial and business records to support Federal investigations and prosecutions; and

  • Providing assistance with combatting cyber fraud activities which includes the use of internet services or software with internet access to defraud victims or to otherwise take advantage of them.

What You Will Need :

  • 4 or more Years of relevant experience;

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmentalized Information clearance eligibility;

  • Experience analyzing and investigating Financial Crimes;

  • A deep understanding of criminal activity, such as Forfeiture, Organized Crime, White Collar Crime, Fraud, Drug, and Financial/Money Laundering;

  • Specialized knowledge of methods, techniques and subject matter analysis applied to Federal investigations, plus skills in researching, collecting, and analyzing large amounts of raw data from various criminal investigative tools and other client-owned databases;

  • Experience gathering information from BSA, law enforcement, open source, and/or dark web data sources and creating detailed intelligence products for members of the law enforcement and intelligence communities;

  • Ability to conduct research and analysis using open-source information, national and international databases, and corporate record filings to correlate and summarize data into a finished professional product;

  • Apply specialized knowledge of methods, techniques, and subject matter analysis to financial and investigative data; and

  • Possess skills in researching, extracting, and correlating large amounts of raw data from various sources resulting in reports and data visualizations.

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Prior experience working in or with a law enforcement or intelligence task force;

  • General knowledge of Office of Terrorist Financial and Financial Crimes participating law enforcement agency organizational structures, functions, sources, and types of records maintained; and

  • Strong knowledge of task forces and financial investigative groups that target money laundering and other financial criminal activities.
