Clark Construction Group, LLC Coordinator, Corporate Responsibility in McLean, Virginia

Clark Construction Group, LLC, is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual to support the company’s corporate responsibility programs and initiatives in areas such as community engagement, volunteerism, inclusion & diversity, sustainability, small business empowerment, and workforce development. The Corporate Responsibility Coordinator will provide communications and administrative support for key initiatives, as well as assist with the planning and execution of special events and activities. The coordinator also will help promote awareness of the company’s inclusion & diversity initiatives and programs and enhance coordination with Clark's enERGy groups (employee resource groups).

The ideal candidate possesses strong written and verbal communications skills, a can-do attitude, and passion for making a positive impact.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop written and multimedia content for internal and external stakeholder communications related to inclusion & diversity, community engagement, economic empowerment, and sustainability

  • Support the development of collateral to promote -- and raise awareness of -- Clark’s commitment to both small business and workforce development (award submissions, articles, social media content, and brochures)

  • Coordinate and promote employee volunteer opportunities; foster Clark’s culture of giving back

  • Help coordinate and execute signature corporate responsibility-led events, such as the Field Employee Scholarship Dinner, Construction Inclusion Week programming, and SPP and SPP ENCORE engagement events

  • Support the development and execution of project-level community engagement and communications initiatives, including newsletters, project websites, and social media content

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, public affairs or a related field

  • One to two years of prior relevant work experience in areas such as communications, marketing, community engagement, or government/public affairs preferred; Prior experience in the construction, architecture, and engineering industry a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to conceive, develop, and deliver clear, well organized, and professional deliverables

  • Well organized and action-oriented

  • Capacity to produce high-quality work in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others

  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects at once

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity

  • Desire to grow responsibilities and role within the organization

  • Proficient in Microsoft products, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel required

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools preferred

  • Experience with digital mass communications (Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and social media platforms a plus
