The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

Role Overview

This is a role in the RTX Classified Digital Services (CDS) Service Delivery Operations (SDO) organization as part of the Operations support team. We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, and maintaining process documents. The successful candidate will be able to improve processes to drive efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability. To ensure success as a process engineer you should have extensive experience in process design, excellent technical skills, and high-level analytical skills. The candidate must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification.

  • Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data.

  • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes.

  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.

  • Manage cost and time constraints.

  • Ensure processes comply with safety, security, and quality standards.

  • Perform risk assessments.

  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.

  • Create and maintain documentation for all CDS processes and procedures.

  • Set and manage customer expectations while ensuring priorities are optimally met.

  • Ability to multi-task, to support multiple customers, and to work within specific schedule and cost constraints.

  • Report regularly to upper management on process performance and KPIs

  • Monitor staff performance to ensure that customer service representatives are providing high quality service.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years program work experience in roles of increasing technical leadership and responsibility.

  • Proven work experience in process engineering

  • Excellent technical skills

  • Knowledge of process related standards

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge in a constantly changing environment.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and people skills with ability to interface with senior leaders and program management personnel.

  • Lead continuous improvement activities associated with reducing service delivery costs and schedule and improving customer experience.

  • Build relationships with leadership and the programs to enable timely issue escalation and resolution.

  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work and collaborate in virtual environment where team members are not co-located.

  • Self-motivated and able to function with minimal oversight.

  • Basic understanding of ITIL

  • Existing Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL certification

  • Project management experience

  • Understanding and implementation experience with AGILE software principles and/or SAFE

  • Customer engagement/relationship management experience or prior consulting experience.

  • Experience generating documentation/tooling aids and instructing others.

  • Existing Top Secret security clearance

Education

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 3 years experience.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
