Senior Manager, Logistics Process Improvement

If so, you could be a great fit for the Operations Delivery Team for our third-party WMS installation within the rapidly growing fulfillment and logistics operation. Our WMS Operations Delivery team will be accountable for delivering an integrated solution that includes systems, processes, and training, ensuring successful implementation and adoption as we convert our Fulfilment Centers from legacy software to a third-party WMS. We are looking for a talented and self-motivated leader with demonstrated capabilities to join our team. The ideal candidate is an energetic team player who understands how to effectively drive results in a fast-paced environment in a rapidly growing company. A desire to be where the work is happening and to roll-up your sleeves and partner with our front line teams is a must. The candidate must also be able to develop trusting relationships with key cross functional teams, command a strong senior presence, and perform at a high level.

The ideal candidate will have an affinity to operations with continuous improvement and operational leadership background in distribution, site/team leadership, or industrial engineering preferably in an E-Commerce fulfillment and/or distribution environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be part of a team that implements a new WMS system across our fulfillment network in the US, Canada, and the UK

  • Collaborate with a WMS consultant on the first site to create and deliver End User, Manager, and Lead training, while gaining knowledge in Organizational Change Management.

  • Lead and drive subsequent implementations on above tasks, using the materials created as a foundation of resources.

  • Coordinate with internal Wayfair Training and Communications teams to iterate and further develop change management tools and processes

  • Act as a coach to fulfillment center Site Directors, Operations Managers and Supervisors

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on change management in adopting the new WMS and training delivery

  • Collaborate effectively with groups company-wide, including Engineering, Warehouse Operations, Planning, Category Management, Supplier Performance, Data Integration, Merchandising, Product Performance and Logistics

  • Develop and monitor the effectiveness of management routines and metrics; recommend and implement changes as needed to ensure business objectives are met

  • Collaborate with Wayfair’s internal quality and incident teams as the subject matter expert

  • Ideally located near a Wayfair Fulfillment Center. Travel required to support the design, rollout, and stabilization of our new third party WMS system, working closely with local Operations teams (40%+ travel, varying by installation phase).

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor Degree required with MBA preferred. Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Analytics, Technical and or Business preferred.

  • Background in Continuous Improvement, Site/Team Leadership, Industrial Engineering preferably in E-Commerce fulfillment or Distribution/Manufacturing environments

  • Preferred to have experience implementing large WMS systems to established organizations

  • Relevant experience in Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Process Improvement practices within a high volume, fast paced organization

  • Exceptional communication skills across various levels of leadership and ability to partner with all levels of operation in the field

  • Ability to inspire others to strive towards a culture of Continuous Improvement - with high energy and coaching approach
