Southwest Mississippi Community College Training Support Specialist in McComb, Mississippi

Job Description: The Training Support Specialist will provide essential support to the Workforce Training Coordinator and Industrial Training Coordinator in the planning, implementation, and management of workforce training programs. This role involves a combination of administrative duties, data management, outreach, and direct interaction with program participants to ensure the smooth and effective operation of workforce initiatives. This position reports directly to the Associate VP for Workforce Training. Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in the coordination and execution of all workforce training programs and training sessions. • Facilitate communication between program participants and coordinators. • Manage administrative duties such as scheduling meetings and organizing/maintaining program-related documentation. • Serve as a point of contact for all program participants, addressing their inquiries and providing necessary information. • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of program participants. • Assist in the development and dissemination of program communications, such as newsletters, announcements, and promotional materials. • Maintain and update program information on the organization's website and social media platforms. • Attends conferences, workshops, meetings, and other staff development programs. • Performs other duties for the school as assigned. Salary: Commensurate with experience

Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university. • Minimum of four (4) years work experience
