**$3,500 Sign-On Bonus (2nd and 3rd Shift)
New Graduates welcome OR Radiology Tech interested in cross-training into CT
Hours:
3rd shift 11pm-7:30am
2nd Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm
1st Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm
Training done on a 1st shift- 8:00am – 4:30pm M-F minimum two weeks, but that depends on the person; may need an additional week.
About the job
In this role, the CT Technologist performs computerized tomography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for computerized tomographic diagnosis.
What you will do
Perform computerized tomographic procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines to provide the physicians with the highest quality of diagnostic information. Participates in advance research projects. Assists in the development of new procedure protocols. Acts as the CT technical expert for the department. Troubleshoots equipment and arranges for repairs in the absence of the assistant manager.
Explains the procedure to the patient and answers any questions prior to the performance of the exam.
Obtains patient history pertinent to exam.
Produces high quality C.T. images and generate 3-D images within proper time parameters.
Adheres to procedure protocols at all times.
Correctly identifies study with patient identification and proper orientation.
Send and verify exams in PACS.
Archives/network exams according to department protocols.
Other duties as assigned.
Here is what you will need
Minimum Required:
Associate Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
Specific Degree(s): Radiologic Technology
1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Licensure/Certifications
Required:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association ONLY
Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)
Other: ARRT CT certification must be earned within six months of hire.
