FNB Bank Commercial Loan Assistant in Mayfield, Kentucky

BANK TITLE:Commercial Loan AssistantLOCATION:Paducah MidtownFLSA STATUS:Non-Exempt (Hourly)ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:Reports To:Commercial Processing ManagerSupervises:NoneJOB SUMMARYUnder general supervision, following established policies and procedures, perform a variety of services including the processing of commercial and agricultural loans, as well as contacting the customer for additional information, ordering documentation (appraisals and title work) for loan closing and at times, performing the loan closing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.1.Prepare loan documentation from information obtained from the applications taken by lenders. Maintain and organize folders.2.Serve as an ongoing point of contact for customers, helping them collect information and complete any necessary documents throughout the loan process. 3.Obtain additional information, as needed, from lenders or customers.4.Assist lenders with servicing of loan portfolio and other loan related items. (Exceptions, Past Due Report, Construction Loan Monitoring, Loan Maturity List).5.Order title examinations and all necessary information for loan closing, when requested.6.Ensure loan documentation complies with federal and state requirements.7.Comply with all BSA requirements and complete appropriate documentation. 8.Provide aid and support to the Lenders and Office staff in dealing with customer problems, personally handle difficult customer problems and complaints.9.Resolve customer complaints in a tactful, effective manner by taking ownership of the problem.10.Establish and maintain productive community and professional organization relationships and represent the Bank at local networking functions by promoting and developing new business for the Bank and enhancing the Bank’s visibility.11.Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or directed.REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES•Analytical skills and superb attention to detail.•Interpersonal skills to interact with other co-workers, maintaining a positive demeanor throughout the day and representing the Bank in a positive manner in dealing with customer transactions.•Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer and adding machine and programs such as Word and Excel.•Willingness to learn and retain information.•Flexible and ability to adapt to new procedure. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.•Three to five years of experience in a financial institution.•Loan processing experience preferred.•Good oral and written communication skills.•Excellent interpersonal skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.•The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
