Supplemental Staffing Tool and Die Maker in Maumee, Ohio
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tool and Die Maker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining precision tools and dies for use in various manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong background in machining, programming, and fabrication.
Duties:
- Design and fabricate tools and dies using CAD software, such as CAM programming.
- Use schematics and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Assemble and test tools and dies to ensure proper function.
- Operate CNC machines and other equipment to produce high-quality tools and dies.
- Perform mathematical calculations and measurements to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of projects.
- Troubleshoot and repair tools and dies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficiency and safety.
Qualifications:
- Seeking a qualified journeyman tool and die maker to join the Maumee team.
The ideal candidate will have a journeyman's card and minimum of 5 years' experience (or a proven 8 years of experience) in a high volume manufacturing setting with experience in single hit and transfer tooling.
You must be self-motivated and have the ability to work any shift.
Excellent wage and benefit package as well as shift differential.
Job responsibilities include setting and removal of dies, troubleshooting of die issues, changing tooling, working with new model introduction parts, preventative maintenance, completing job set ups, equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
