AAA Mid Atlantic Senior Accountant in Maumee, Ohio

What You'll Do:

• Responsibility for recording, reporting, and analyzing financial information and making appropriate inquiries of operations to obtain a broad understanding of the nature of the financial activity.

• Prepares monthly journal entries, financial statements, financial narratives, and various management reports timely and accurately for AAA Mid-Atlantic and its subsidiaries.

• Prepares all necessary account analysis for internal and external clients as required.

• Documents accounting treatment for new processes and trains accounting staff in the use and application of these new procedures.

• Completes special assignments entailing high levels of confidentiality, integrity, and quality as assigned.

• Applies analytical and inductive thinking to improve the current processes and functions of the Financial Reporting Unit.

• Actively participates with other internal departments (Information Technology, Road Service, Membership Records, Marketing, etc.) as warranted.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or related discipline and 5 years of experience in a corporate automated accounting environment, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proficiency in Crystal Reports or a similar reporting tool.

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify problems quickly and recommend solutions.

• Effective organizational and communication skills (oral and written) to enable accurate and prompt completion of assignments handled in a professional manner.

• Proficiency in use of report-writing tools and web development tools such as: Seagate Crystal Reports, HTML, XML, JavaScript etc. preferred
