Grand Welcome Operations Manager - Maui in Maui, Hawaii

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing processes related to housekeeping, maintenance, and QC in Track PMS. You will also manage projects related to field operations, train newly recruited employees, and audit and inspect operational work assignments to ensure the business goals of the company are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Manages core operational systems and processes

  • Ensures Housekeeping work orders are completed as per company standard

  • Maintains compliance with operations expenses and budget

  • Manages projects for organizational improvement

  • Manage and organizes supply inventories regionally

  • Responsible for administration, including invoicing, vendor scheduling and package/delivery management

  • Performs pre-arrival inspections of homes to ensure quality standards

  • Promptly reports/corrects any inconsistencies/maintenance issues with speed and accuracy to ensure guest satisfaction

  • Assists with guest and owner needs, including responding to after-hours calls (evenings and weekends) in a timely manner

  • Performs light maintenance tasks (swap propane tanks, change light bulbs, etc)

  • Assists Purchase department in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping

  • Organizes on-the job training and evaluates its effectiveness

  • Assists in sourcing vendors, ensuring enough bandwidth.

  • Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Conducts and collaborates in daily briefing with operations team members

  • Coordinates the preventive maintenance schedules for units

  • Coordinates with all departments in daily reporting and operations

  • Assist in creation of work orders

  • Works closely with the General Manager in supporting general operations as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent practical experience

  • Minimum two (2) years in operations role

  • Experience working in the hospitality industry

  • Working knowledge of housekeeping and hospitality industry standards.

  • Fluent English verbal/written skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, combined with outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Supervisory skills combined with the ability to manage a team and hold team accountable

  • Ability to train, coach and develop team

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, paired with problem resolution skills

  • Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency at times

  • Superior customer service skills

  • Ability to work self-directed

Working Conditions

  • The position will require travel, which may include some overnight travel, if needed, for training purposes or industry conferences. The General Manager will be expected to familiarize themselves with the various properties and be available to meet with owners at their properties or at the office.

  • Because Grand Welcome has property locations in diverse regions the physical environment may require the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions

  • Position may come into contact with pets

  • Employee is required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous chemicals/materials

  • Regularly scheduled hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules vary based on business need, so flexibility is expected

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

  • The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds

Compensation:

$65-70,000/year
