Avantor, Inc. Project Manager - Avantor Lab and Production Services in Massachusetts

Job SummaryResponsible for leading Avantor Services customer facing business solutions project implementation, harmonization and improvement initiatives. Using clear communication and cross-functional process management skills to ensure delivery and commercialization of Avantor Service solutions that provide customer value and drive process improvements in support of Avantor organizational goals and initiatives. Interfaces with various Avantor business functions to scope projects, develop business cases and proposals to highlight performance improvement or solutions expansion opportunities.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

 Develops, updates and communicates detailed project plans with internal partners and external customer teams to ensure success of Avantor Services business solution implementation.

 Sets and Manages Client expectations.

 Make recommendations or alert leadership team of impending business issues.

 Execute process improvement tools and methodologies as part of customer solutions to provide customer value and Avantor Services revenue.

 Compile, analyze and share cross-functional and customer data for business reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

 BS degree. Supply Chain or applicable discipline preferred

 5+ year related work experience

 Formal project management training or certification preferred

 Six Sigma certification or formal training preferred

 Experience working in supply chain, procurement or distribution a plus

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

 Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Expert level skills in Excel and Access)

 Must be creative with solutions and react quickly to change

 Excellent attention to detail; must be analytical process oriented, and highly motivated with results driven leadership abilities

 Set Priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines. Manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision

 Understanding of change management challenges associated with process improvement and implementation

 Excellent presentation and selling skills

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Travel to Avantor, supplier and customer locations.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
