Industrial Mechanics needed - Food Industry - Maspeth Queens, NY First shift. Mon - Thurs 7am - 5pm, Fridays 7am - 1pm.

Salary ranges between $26-$36/hour depending on experience. OT available. Benefit include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and more.

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical equipment and surrounding facilities without supervision or assistance.

SEEKING THOSE ESPECIALLY WITH EXPERIENCE IN THE FOOD OR PHARMA INDUSTRIES.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Follow all safety, food safety, & GMP rules and regulations.

• Possess the electrical competency to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment to "like new" state when required.

• Install and dismantle machinery and equipment.

• Overhaul machinery by tearing down equipment and repairing or replacing damaged machine parts.

• Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs.

• Perform all general preventative maintenance duties

• Possess excellent technical and critical thinking skills.

• Identify issues that you cannot fix and communicate them promptly to the Maintenance Manager for assistance.

• All other duties as assigned.
