Festo Corporation Technical Manufacturing Engineer in Mason, Ohio
Support the planning and installation of all production and assembly processes of the participating production plants.
Aid in the design of the production concept (establish routings and identify equipment)
Support optimization measures in the ramp-up to Production and Installation requirements.
End to end Collaboration in product/production planning with NPI team.
Support NPI coordinator in the make-or-buy decisions at sub-assembly or component level
Help monitor production costs and investments
Tracking of measures to reach the target for their responsibilities. These will be individual per project.
Help facilitate the creation/coordination of sample parts and pilot series parts (in-house production)
Aid in the commissioning and development of operating and testing equipment
Adherence to delivery dates in accordance with the sales plan or the promised delivery times
Support multiple projects consecutively
Adherence to the defined quality throughout the project life cycle
Compliance with manufacturing costs and investments.
Support incoming component inspection criteria set-up and adherence
Will be one of the contact persons in the project team for all aspects of production
Aid in the organization of production release
Recommend on the awarding of subassemblies and individual parts with NPI
Review of all documentation (including checklist) of all incoming projects and their requirements
Check for material readiness for release to production
Support the change control integratio
Drives continuous improvement initiatives
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
Communicates with Management and partners of departments such as Compliance, Sales, Order Management, Finance, HR, etc.
Hands-on leadership by principles
BS in Engineering or Related Technical and/or equivalent combinations of education and experience
5 years technical experience required, engineering degree desirable, or equivalent combinations of education and experience
Understanding of routing and BOM documentation
Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics
Demonstrable hands-on knowledge of tools for a manufacturing environment
Experience in material and inventory planning, including electrical and mechanical parts preferred.
Festo experience a strong plus, but more important is the technical experience in a comparable company
Oral & written English communication skills
Experience training staff and/or other system users
Highly proficient in SAP, MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel
