Description

Our client is a leader in the automotive industry and seeking a Sr. System Engineer for a long term, multi-year assignment that offers the opportunity to collaborate with different teams to understand the current Global Design Bill of Materials system and related servers. The position also requires the ability to create and maintain documentation and installation procedures, while coordinating with various departments for approval of new systems and infrastructure.

The role is 1 day/week onsite.

Flexible hours are required to be able to attend early morning or evening meetings as business needs arise.

Build Test environment, support system integration testing and User Acceptance Testing.

• Collaborate with different teams/individuals to understand current Global Design Bill of Materials system and related servers.

• Document current system, create system diagram showing connections/data exchange between several system’s modules/servers.

• Provide the best solution for a new environment.

• Assist in creating and installing a new system.

• Configure server environment, test and ensure all connections are working properly.

• Create, maintain documentation and installation procedures.

• Coordinate with various departments for approval of the new system and infrastructure.

• Proactively ensure the highest level of system and infrastructure availability

• Understand integration between BOM, CATIA and 3D Experience.

• Create Roadmap for current and future system.

Requirements

Understand integration between BOM, CATIA and 3D Experience

Server administration and understanding of Windows server operating system

Strong written and oral communication skills

Detail-oriented thinking

Ability to work in multi-cultural environment

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subjects

• Minimum 5 years of solid working experience with BOM, CATIA V5/V6, 3D Experience, server administration and understanding of Windows server operating system.

• Minimum 5 years of solid working experience with different IT teams such as Network, Infrastructure, Security/Authentication/Authorization

• Detail-oriented thinking

• Ability to see a “big picture.”

• Strong written and oral communication skills
