About the Team: The Facility Engineering/Maintenance team at the ZF Marysville Axle plant supports a diverse manufacturing portfolio, including existing ICE Axles for the passenger car segment. The Facility Engineer reports directly to the Facility Maint. Ops. Mgr. The Facility Engineer lead candidate for this role specifically will support multiple processes across the plant – within the full property, physical building and assets, machining, assembly, and new eMobility projects/equipment. The Facility Engineer works with the full facility team, additional facility manager, Environmental Supervisor, lead security supervisor (external contractor) and all external support leadership and contractors.

What you can look forward to as a Facilities Engineer:

  • Responsible for the Engineer & Design solutions for New Equipment Installation projects including the re-arrangements for all facility & production equipment. Responsible for all project timing and costs and coordination with other teams.

  • Work with plant Production Mgrs. & PQE’s for all production equipment needs.

  • When needed, prior to delivery, will participate in equipment buyoff with supplier; and during and after new equipment installation, inspects major contract work on the electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and other related systems.

  • Maintain all HV High Voltage Equipment. Conduct all necessary PM’s & Upgrades with external Elec. Engrs. & Master electricians

  • Maintain facility HVAC units and all Air Flow systems for productions – HT Furnaces. Monitor and assign preventative maintenance tasks for facility equipment. HVAC – HV gear etc…

  • Assist with Internal ZF Mgrs. and External vendors for all engineering solutions for all Energy Mgt. requirements, improvements, and concerns.

  • Maintain BMS System (Building management System – JCI) for all facility connected equipment.

  • Understand and comply with TS16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.

Your Profile as a Facilities Engineer:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering. BSME preferred. Other engineering degrees may be considered when combined with related Manufacturing Experience.

  • 3+ years’ experience leading technical projects.

  • Facility – Bldg. Maintenance is required.

  • Basic knowledge of the install, inspect, and repair of facility building electrical & mechanical equipment & systems. Basic knowledge of facility & production hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, plumbing, automated conveyor systems and other pressure and force systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties. Knowledge of MIOSHA safety requirements.

  • Must be able to work OT and weekends as needed.

  • SAP Knowledge, PM program, work tickets experience preferred. Maintenance and/or supervision experience preferred

  • Microsoft Office platform – Excel. Auto Cad. preferred
