Spectrum Senior Database Administrator in Maryland Heights, Missouri
TITLE: Senior Database AdministratorLOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Perform quarterly patching for all Oracle Databases. Work with engineering teams to determine new build out designs and new upcoming technology to enhance database builds. Assist team with build out, upgrades, patching, migrations, and decommissions of the Oracle databases that maintains compliance with application specifications and company policies, standards, and procedures. Upgrade all Oracle databases for all new releases from vendor. Complete all new Oracle Database build out requests submitted from the business partners within Charter. Work with other departments to decommission any Oracle database no longer in use. Work with vendor and business to migrate any Oracle database to new hardware to continue to maintain functionality. Attend meetings with various application teams and provide advanced technical solutions. Review method of procedure and other procedures needed for the optimal functionality of our critical applications.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 7 years of experience: utilizing Oracle database for data management; installing, monitoring, and managing an enterprise IT system; analyzing and troubleshooting IT outages; applying security patches for database maintenance. Hybrid (in office and remote) arrangement is available.
