Direct, organize, coach and administer the hockey program.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Discipline / Degree Area:
Required Specialized Training/Certifications:
NCAA learning portal proficiency, or passing within one month of hire. Possess a current CPR certification or have the ability to obtain upon hire.
Required Minimum Work Experience:
Demonstrated hockey coaching experience as a head coach or an assistant coach at the NCAA Division I or III level or comparable coaching experience (e.g., experience with a tier I or tier II junior program, major junior program, or minor league professional team, etc.). No prior involvement with NCA major rules violations. On- and off-campus recruitment of student athletes.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:
Knowledge: Knowledge of NCAA, conference, and NMU compliance rules. Education and Training-Understanding of NCAA bylaws. Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. Administration and Management-Knowledge of business and management principles involved
