Chocolay Township Administrative Assistant in Marquette, Michigan

The Charter Township of Chocolay in Marquette County, Michigan seeks an energetic, outgoing, organized, and proficient individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant within the Clerks Department.

 

The Administrative Assistant is part of the Clerks department team that is customer oriented performing various tasks such as clerical, customer service, answering phones, receiving the public, receiving payments, receiving ballots, and recordkeeping. Once fully trained, the Administrative Assistant may become the primary contact for residents wishing to register to vote, input voter information into the State QVF system, help train poll workers, assign ballots, and the orderly running of Township elections.

 

This is a full-time salary position scheduled Monday-Friday. Additional hours may be scheduled during election or tax collection periods. Compensation includes a fringe benefit package with a pension plan, eligibility for health and life insurance, and paid leave. The salary range for this position will be $42,500 to $46,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
