Raytheon is seeking a Logistics Manager for the logistics operations facility in Marlborough, MA. As a Logistics Manager you will play an integral role in the operations of this Raytheon site and will support a variety of logistics functions focused on dock-to-stock operations, material movement, support of outbound packaging and sales as well as providing tactical and strategic initiatives across the value chain.

The Logistics Manager will manage a team logistics operators and support staff. This team is responsible for efficient material movements, ensuring SLA cycle time and through-put requirements are met.

Frequent and consistent interaction with cross functional teams, programs, and business units is necessary to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Some of these teams include planning, production control, operations, quality, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, finance, and the program management office.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Enforce Raytheon and government requirements and initiatives for safety and security.

  • Ensure efficiency of receiving dock, packaging, and shipping operations.

  • Manage employee performance through regular interaction, daily activity reporting, performance reviews, etc.

  • Workforce planning, forecasting, and training.

  • Collaborate with leaders to formulate material, production and logistics plans and requirements.

  • Interact with front line leaders and relevant teams to ensure accuracy and velocity of material positions.

  • Ensuring the enforcement of company policies and procedures

  • Comply with all regulations and internal audit protocols.

  • Meet contract requirements related to material movements.

  • Produce reports from various applicants to identify opportunities for improving area layout and optimizing material flow.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement utilizing Lean Six Sigma (C.O.R.E) as a key enabler to accomplish these improvements.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Industry experience in logistics, receiving operations and/or manufacturing.

  • Professional use of Enterprise Resource Planning system such as SAP, Oracle, etc.

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodology.

  • Employee management experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Experience:

  • Aerospace & defense industry experience.

Education:

Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
