Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Marlborough, Massachusetts. This role involves a variety of tasks within the accounting industry, providing crucial support to our team. You will be key in maintaining our financial records, including billing, data entry, and other special projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.

• Take charge of data entry tasks, inputting critical information into our accounting system.

• Assist with special projects as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage the inflow and outflow of funds.

• Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring our records align with bank statements.

• Contribute to the maintenance of customer credit records, ensuring all data is up-to-date.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action where necessary.

• Resolve customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.

• Process customer credit applications with a keen eye for detail. Requirements • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Demonstrated experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Ability to accurately process transactions and maintain financial records

• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
