Job Title: MIG Welder

Job Description

Our Welding team brings our products to life. You will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using hand welding and flame-cutting equipment such as MIG gun, stick welder, and acetylene torch.

Responsibilities

• Weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products using hand welding and flame-cutting equipment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and drawings.

• Measure and mark workpieces using tape measures and other tools.

• Ensure welds meet standards and specifications by performing in-house welding tests.

• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.

• Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflow.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 - 4 years of experience as a welder using various welding equipment and hand tools.

• Accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program preferred.

• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in various forms (electronic, written, verbal).

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

• Basic understanding of mathematics related to welding assignments.

• Steady hand and great attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to submit to in-house welding tests to measure experience and performance.

Work Environment

You will be continually required to stand, sit, and walk. The role requires the use of hand and finger dexterity, bending, stooping, and kneeling. Effective communication and visual acuity are essential for operating equipment and reading technical information. You should be able to safely lift, push, and carry items up to and more than 50 pounds. The work environment includes exposure to grinding dust, welding fumes, extreme heat (non-weather), and loud noise from metalworking applications such as welding, grinding, and sanding.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marlboro, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
