JOB REQUIREMENTS: Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for an Engineer II at our Marinette, Wisconsin location. POSITION SUMMARY The Engineer II\'s purpose is to solve technical problems, develop applicable documentation, and supervise all assigned resources to support the assigned project. The Engineer II assists the Senior Engineers, Engineering Supervisors and Project Engineers in determining the technical requirements of the project, defining resource requirements to achieve schedule and budget commitments, and solving technical issues as they arise within the field of competence. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Demonstrates ability to work independently in solve technical problems. Capable to plan, estimate, schedule and monitor assigned work and the work of assigned resources Track and report progress to budget and schedule commitments Capable to facilitate communications of issues and solutions throughout FMM, subcontract, or customers. Capable to prepare, check and issue professional quality deliverables and mentor team members on improving performance Capable of interpreting contract requirements, applying to functional assignments, and able to mentor team members in their understanding Demonstrates ability to identify and develop contract change documents to support the project needs. Capable to mentor fellow team members. Abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures. Mentor fellow team members in development, explanation, and guidance of policies and procedures. Capable to lead or participate in product improvement projects and working groups Demonstrates ability to track and monitor subcontract activities. Demonstrates ability to effectively mentor assigned resources during onboarding or skill development SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The Engineer II also demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company. The Engineer II may directly mentor or supervise 2 to 5 employees. Mentoring and supervisory responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the Company\'s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
