The Calibration Department specializes in the calibration of precision measurement and test equipment of various types. Our Metrology Inspection Division is currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic Metrology Technician to be based at our Marietta, GA office.
Summary:
TheMetrology Technicianwill perform in-lab CT scanning, laser scanning, and dimensional inspections. They will specialize in the utilization of ATS owned metrology assets such as the FARO and Zeiss CT machine, and customer CMMs. The technician will also assist in the business development of this newly founded office.
Responsibilities:
Utilize scanning and measurement equipment in the lab to support internal and external clients
Perform on-site scanning and measuring at client facilities
Support calibration activities in the region
Assist in customer correspondence
Maintain accountability for the highest personal, professional, and safety standards
Maintain department owned assets per Company’s Quality Policy
Assist in business development for the Calibration/Metrology segment
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge and understanding of metrology software such as PC-DMIS, Volume Graphics, and Polyworks
Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical, materials) or equivalent industry experience
Positive, can-do attitude
Customer-centric and entrepreneurial minded
Deep knowledge and understanding of CT, CMM, or laser scanning operation
Ability to work with a team and key clients
Ability and willingness to work 40 hours (and overtime as needed) to meet customer demands and schedules
Ability and willingness to fly and/or drive to job sites
Access to personal cell phone with data plan for connection to company email and multi-factor authentication
Ability to lift 60 pounds
Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Travel:
Up to 50%
