DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Working with a dynamic team of professionals, you will be responsible for the supervision of all activities associated with the operations of a State Correctional Institution (SCI) infirmary, as well as the in-patient mental health unit. Duties will include supervising, Registered Nurses, License Practical Nurses, Medical Records Director, and other civilian employees. In this role, you will monitor the delivery and documentation of care to inmates to ensure continuity of quality practices in a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment per the Bureau of Health Care Services standard guidelines and directives on a twenty-four hour basis, seven days a week.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
    • Six years of professional medical experience in the care and treatment of the physically ill, which included three years of supervisory or administrative experience in a hospital or infirmary, and a bachelor's degree in a health related field; or
    • An equivalent combination of experience and training, which included three years of supervisory or administrative experience in a hospital or infirmary.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • ?Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
    • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
