Here’s the Gist:

 The engineering team is expected to sustain processes and equipment to provide consistent device performance, yield, and quality, while also partnering with product engineering and R&D to ensure effective new product and process introductions.  A successful candidate will lead efforts focused on improving cycle time, tool availability, process/product yield, and drive cost reductions in the metrology module. 

The Day-to-Day

  • Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
  • Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.
  • Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality.
  • Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
  • Continuous process improvement
  • Sense of Ownership and troubleshooting
  • Very experience and demonstrates ability to lead process improvement and active partnership.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ engineering and/or leadership experience in a semiconductor environment
  • Experience with common semiconductor metrology equipment and processes for thin films, defectivity, CD and overlay
  • Experience with building and/or sustaining a metrology engineering team, including gauge R&R, systems implementation (SOP’s, work instructions, specs), training and mentoring

The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.

Compensation Range:

$75,000.00 - $103,000.00
