Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.The Impact You'll Make in this RoleSolventum is seeking a Mechanical or Biomedical Engineer to join our Infection Prevention Team with a focus on new product development for global healthcare products. This position will focus on mechanical design across Medical Surgical product families and will support design activities of both complex hardware systems and consumables.As a(n) Senior Product Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Contributing as an active member of a product development team to design, develop and test state-of-the-art medical devices.Developing component & product specifications and producing formal documentation for CAD models, engineering drawings and bills of materials in accordance with Quality System and Regulatory standards.Interacting with suppliers to support prototype and development activities.Supporting design transfer and scale-up activities with internal and outsourced manufacturing.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field AND Five (5) years of mechanical product development experienceORHigh School Diploma/GED from AND Ten (10) years of mechanical product development experienceANDIn addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:Three (3) years of experience in Medical Device (or other regulated industry) product development and commercialization.Three (3) years of experience with NX and/or Solidworks.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Design experience in complex hardware systems.Ability to generate, review, and understand formal engineering drawings and documents required for the fabrication and assembly of medical products.Able to thrive within a multi-functional product team (Product Development, Tech Service, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Manufacturing, etc.)Passionate, self-motivated, inquisitive, imaginative, and detail orientedInjection molding & materials experienceModeling and Simulation Experience (i.e. Ans s, MoldEx3D, etc.)Work location:Hybrid (Up to 3 days at Maplewood, MN)Travel: May include up to 10% DomesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorized.Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
