Here, you will make an impact by:Leading Rotational Failure Speed (RFS) testing, analysis, and product validation. Develop release specs for Maximum Operating Speed (MOS) rating for Abrasive Systems Division (ASD) product families.Driving existing product quality enhancement through use of continuous improvement methods and tools, such as: Six Sigma,Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Design of Experiments(DOE), Customer Quality Index (CQI)and Quality at the SourceSupporting and interacting with customers through complaint investigations, resolution, and trendingEnsuring the commercialized product design intent and product integrity is retained as materials, processes, methods, and specifications changeSupporting change as it relates to design changes inspired by quality improvement, source of supply changes, or cost reduction effortsTrouble shooting, investigating, and analyzing for non-conforming product testing and dispositionYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelorsdegree or higher in an engineering or science discipline(completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionTwo (2) years ofcombinedexperiencein a Manufacturing, Production,Qualityand/or Laboratory in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelors degree or higher inChemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering,or MaterialsScienceExperience with Rotational Failure Speed (RFS) testingExperience with life cycle management tools (PLM)Experience in applied statistical applications and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience in supporting efforts on life cycle management, product and process improvements, and other product documentation effortsTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
