Beyond core FP&A activities such as budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling, this role is crucial in driving strategic initiatives like zero-based budgeting and managing spin-related dis-synergies. The FP&A Manager will also champion the development of new technology-based capabilities, such as CXO, and oversee the HR budget, ensuring that financial practices are standardized, efficient, and effective.As a Corporate Staff Services - FP&A Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Lead the consolidation and analysis of financial data across nine functions within the Corporate Staff Services division, ensuring accuracy and coherence in reporting.Develop and implement standard work processes for financial activities across departments to promote consistency, efficiency, and control.Provide timely and accurate financial insights and recommendations to support the CFO of Corporate Staff Services in decision-making.Respond to financial analysis requests from the Company C-suite leadership, delivering high-quality information to facilitate executive-level decisions.Drive the creation and maintenance of financial models and tools that support the evaluation of strategic initiatives, cost-saving opportunities, and investment decisions.Oversee the preparation of detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key trends, variances, and potential areas of concern.Collaborate with finance and non-finance stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of financial performance and to identify opportunities for improvement.Manage the HR budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational efficiency.Champion process improvement initiatives within the finance function, leveraging technology to automate and streamline workflowsYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher in Finance, Accounting and/or Economics (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionSeven (7) years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong background in managing complex, multi-departmental financial processes in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Demonstrated ability to lead financial consolidation efforts and create standardized financial practices across diverse functions.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Work location: ork Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: Is not authorized.Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
