Overview

M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a RN Clinical Supervisor to support the M Health Fairview Maplewood, Oakdale, Stillwater, and Cottage Grove Clinic locations. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! This is a Monday - Friday day shift opening, no evenings or weekends - great work/life balance! This role will support 20+ direct reports and 2 Lead RN's. The hours for this role will range from 6AM to 6PM. This is a fantastic opportunity to join close-knit, high functioning team that collaborates, shares, and supports each other. This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening.

Responsibilities Job Description

The RN Clinical Supervisor is responsible for managing the operations of designated staff. Provides work flow direction and management that is consistent with achieving department and organizational objectives. Other duties include achieving coordination, consistency, and integration in the operation of the clinic site, assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, assisting in goal planning and budgeting, and leading and/or participating in improvement projects/teams.

Manage day to day operations of operating a clinic in the following ways:

  • Leadership of clinic staff and actively supports the recruitment, orientation, and promotes the engagement of all clinic staff

  • Ensures effective and timely communication of relevant information as appropriate

  • Provides guidance to ensure performance management aspects such as mentoring, coaching, individual development etc. are in place and holds staff accountable to expectations

  • Fosters an environment in which the team holds each other accountable

  • Works collaboratively with leadership and other partners to ensure efficient and safe operations of the site(s)

  • Anticipates and responds to physician/provider staffing needs and assures that support staff are appropriately scheduled to ensure efficiency, access and patient demand

  • Performs appropriate due diligence to resolve patient and staff concerns

  • Promotes, supports and participates in process improvement, quality initiatives, and innovation

Sustain and mentor staff around quality and continuous improvement within service line.

  • Facilitate a site based approach to continuous improvement that links with service line strategy.

  • Communicates quality data and to seeks out opportunities to improve patient care & ensures understanding of the data and its importance.

  • Helps build a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring front line staff.

Develops and maintains a balanced, supportive work environment, demonstrating behaviors consistent with MHealth Fairview commitments

  • Continuously builds customer understanding by listening to customers.

  • Continuously implements strategies to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Build credibility with medical staff as a champion for patient care and quality

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

1-2 years of leadership experience

Minnesota RN license

Preferred

Additional education in healthcare, business or related field

3-5 years of previous supervisory/management experience
