Insight Global SQL Developer in Mapleville, Rhode Island

Job Description

· Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL database solutions.

· Design, implement, and manage database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.

· Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.

· Collaborate with software developers to integrate database solutions with application code.

· Perform database troubleshooting and optimization to ensure system stability and performance.

· Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and guidelines.

· Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database development and administration.

Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.

Skills and Requirements

· Minimum of five years' experience with Microsoft SQL administration or development. (Developer is preferred)

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

· Proven experience as a SQL Developer or Database Administrator.

· Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database management.

· Experience with relational database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server).

· Familiarity with database design principles, normalization, and data modeling concepts.

· Solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

· Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

· Certification in database administration or development (e.g., Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) is a plus.
