Perform tasks and duties associated with installing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems throughout the district. Primary Function: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Master Electrician to join our Facilities Operations team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the district s mission to inspire and prepare every scholar for a lifetime of learning. The Master Electrician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, apparatus, and equipment to ensure the seamless operation of district facilities. Tasks involved in fulfilling above duty and responsibility: Perform repairs and maintenance on all district electrical systems. Plan and secure materials for electrical equipment repair/replacement. Obtain required permits for district electrical projects. Oversee and monitor the work of registered non-licensed electrical program employees. Troubleshoot and repair district electrical equipment, including light towers, parking lot/security lighting, and athletic fields. Conduct scheduled maintenance and apply current electrical codes to all work. Recommend equipment repair or replacement to supervisors. Maintain tools, materials, and documentation needed for electrical tasks. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skilled in: The ability to troubleshoot and determine causes of operating errors and recommend solutions. Solving complex problems, including the ability to identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions. Installing equipment, machines, and related fixtures/wiring/programs to meet specifications. Determining the kind of tools, equipment and labor needed to complete the job. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; vocational training in the electrical field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in electrical systems planning, installation, and maintenance. Required Licenses: Master Electrician License, Drivers License Preferred Licenses: Arc flash training certification is desirable. This position requires working in the outdoors with temperature changes; working on unprotected heights (e.g., roofs); driving motorized equipment; and working in extreme temperatures.
