Position Summary

• Manufacture catheter components (i.e. extrusion) for development and production

• Complete assignments that improve quality, increase capacity, reduce scrap or reduce cost of goods in CCS production.

• Assist Engineers troubleshooting and solving production line issues.

• Perform other tasks related to the development and production of catheter components as directed.

Principal Responsibilities

• Manufactures and inspects components for production and R&D per standard process and quality specifications to achieve daily goals.

• Performs testing and measurement functions.

• Understands and follows all Medical Device Good Documentation Practices

• Displays a methodical approach to problems solving and root cause analysis

• Operates automated/advanced equipment and tooling.

• Participates in the identification of quality issues and their solutions.

• Reads and follows written processes, policies and procedures. Accurately documents all production device history records (travelers and log forms).

• May be asked to assist in the writing of processes or procedures. Reviews new documents and identifies errors.

• Communicates goals, ideas, concepts and issues in both written and verbal form.

• Cooperates and interacts positively with all individuals. Promotes team goals by using good interaction skills and problem-solving techniques to identify process, machine or work area improvements that optimize productivity.

• Maintains a clean, safe and organized work environment. Supports maintenance of equipment/calibration.

• Identifies process improvements and areas for reduction in waste and increased throughput.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required. A 2-year technical degree in a scientific discipline ispreferred.

• Two years of related experience required with the preferred degree. Without a degree, four years of related experience is required.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Must have experience setting up, troubleshooting and running a medical device extrusion line, (free and over core), with typical medical device resins.
