This position will be located in: Fargo , ND or Phoenix, AZ or Chicago, IL or Kansas City, MO, or Bismarck, ND or Maple Grove, MN, or Charlotte, NC Job Summary Ensures each initiative resulting from a Strategy Enablement strategic project or executive defined change is effectively delivered to the relevant areas using developed and coordinated change management plans. Creates and delivers change management strategies to help foster overall employee adoption and usage. Seeks to minimize resistance to change which will increase value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes. Partners with senior leaders and executives to develop plans for the fulfillment of the role of change sponsor on defined initiatives. May also provide direct support and education to all levels of leadership to assist their direct reports through transitions on defined initiatives. Responsibilities Essential Functions Delivers effective change management that includes promotion of business vision, including a project benefits framework that links the change to the business benefits gained. Delivers, refines, and manages the tactical change management process including development of standardized change management deliverables and tools for defined initiatives. Executes initiative defined change plans that: Identify what changes in process, procedure, or practices are needed to achieve the change and deliver planned benefits. Ensures each different business area is sufficiently prepared for the impact of the new ways of working. Works with impacted managers to ensure there is adequate support for the new ways of working to operate in a business-as-usual state. Supports colleagues whilst the transaction is taking place. Ensures full adoption and utilization of change is maximized. Ensures ongoing stakeholder and user engagement. Executes change management activities for defined initiatives which include collaboration with supporting areas to build sponsor coalitions, support of communication efforts and development of training needs. Identifies and escalates risk, issues, decisions and unplanned changes through the appropriate escalation process. Collaborates with all levels of leadership to develop ways to assist in change transition for direct reports. Collaborates with executive leadership to develop mechanisms to execute the initiative's change sponsor role. Works collaboratively with project team members to define and measure success and benefits criteria for initiatives. Initiates reviews to ensure new capabilities are being embedded and established. Non-essential Functions Provides coaching to other initiative stakeholders. Continues to grow understanding of change management profession. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of the change management practice to align with industry best practices and Border States needs. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 5+ equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience in organizational change management implementation. Certification in PROSCI or similar Change Management Methodology strongly preferred. Minimum 1 year of experience presenting to executive leadership. 3+ years' experience working directly with project management and resource management. Strong knowledge of business and process analysis practices and standards. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio), Internet, Email required. Strong experience with Smartsheet preferred. Experience with a strategic methodology, such as OKRs, strongly preferred. Skills and Abilities Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
