Maintenance Technician III- First Year $3,000 Sign On Bonus 1st shift+ on call from 3:30pm-7am + weekends on call As a Maintenance Technician III, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, fixing, and maintaining equipment. You will support and enable preventative maintenance at the plant. You are expected to learn advanced maintenance skills and complete related tasks as needed. Your responsibilities: Perform maintenance tasks per work orders assigned Understand how to work safely and speak up when you do not Continue to learn new skills and grow in your maintenance expertise Train other Maintenance and Reliability Technicians Complete preventive tasks (PMs) Maintain safety systems- lifts/elevators, boilers, fire systems, etc. Assist in developing routes and managing the program Communicate findings with core team at the plant as needed Assist in developing routes and managing the lube program Utilize electrical skills and knowledge to troubleshoot electrical issues Utilize PLC skills and knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment Install equipment (and components) to systems, including motors, gearboxes/reducers, belts, pulleys, sheaves, shafts, bearings, bushings, airlocks, cylinders, rollers, etc. Repair equipment (and components) including motors, gearboxes/reducers, belts, pulleys, sheaves, shafts, bearings, bushings, airlocks, cylinders, rollers, etc. Essential skills and experience: High School diploma or GED 5 or more years of experience in Maintenance in manufacturing environment Good communication skills, both verbal and written Effectively use computer applications Ability to organize and prioritize tasks Willingness to learn new skills Demonstrate proficiency in advanced-level technical competencies, for example, PLCs, VFDs, and systems troubleshooting Demonstrated ability to delegate Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including ability to problem solve Knowledge of foodsafety requirements and HACCP Availability and willingness to be contacted and to provide assistancein excess of40 hours per week, occasionally on evenings and weekends Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that involves exposure to dust, long periods of standing, ability to climb ladders and stairs, bend and move to inspect equipment Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Good to have: CMRT certification Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field Other maintenance-related certifications Ability to obtain boiler license Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
