United Prairie Bank Insurance Agent (Commercial & Farm) in Mankato, Minnesota


Position Purpose:

Responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting and selling new Commercial & Farm accounts.


· Prospect for new clients and cross-sell opportunities

· Strong sales skills to sell insurance products through in-person sales calls with potential clients

· Communicate with current and potential clients by telephone, direct mail and email

· Work flexible hours to meet client needs and achieve production goals

· Prepare monthly production and activity reports

· Conduct marketing or promotional activities in support of individual sales activities (e.g. prospecting outside of the office, presenting at seminars, attending networking / social events)

· Obtain referrals from clients and centers of influence, in addition to generating referrals for United Prairie Bank and United Prairie Financial Network

· Work cooperatively with insurance markets to obtain desired coverage terms and conditions

· Prepare and review documents and forms required to bind insurance products

· Compile and update client lists and sales pipeline

· Attend required training and continuing education programs regarding insurance products and financial and insurance regulations

  • High School or better

  • Bachelors or better in Business Administration

  • Bachelors or better in Finance
