Your Role: Use forklift/pallet jack to safely and efficiently load and unload van trailers. This includes following all safety and quality control protocol. Enter data and generate shipping paperwork. Complete trailer and inbound material inspections. Pull production from packaging lines and safely stack/store in warehouse, following all safety and quality control policies. Perform all assigned sanitation and MSS tasks. Assist in inventory counts (finished goods, packaging supplies, etc) Be able to assist in operation and troubleshooting of palletizer, stretch wrapper, and packaging systems. Dump and maintain rework inventory. Performs all tasks associated with warehousing, including driving forklift to pulling production, stacking/storing products, and loading/unloading van trailers. Essential skills and experience: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must demonstrate basic mathematical skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as formulas, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate clearly in English, commensurate with the requirements of this position. Must have a basic mechanical aptitude. Must be able to safely use hand tools. Must understand that overtime is sometimes required during the week, weekend, and holidays. Due to seasonality of business and volatility of markets, work hours can change suddenly. Must be able to pass mobile equipment training on forklift and pallet jack. Good to have: Forklift Certification/experience Experience in a manufacturing environment, especially food production, is a plus Physical Requirements and Working Conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation): Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator) Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays Ability to work a machine paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include: Heat/Cold temperatures (inclement weather) Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Indoor/Outdoor environment Dusty environment Noisy environment Frequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processes Elevated Places Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
